6.5 BoneStag

BoneStag - A Perfect Blend. A century ago, Case masterpieces were crafted of the finest Genuine Mother-of-Pearl, Genuine Stag antler, Rosewood, Celluloid, and BoneStag. BoneStag handles were made of genuine cattle bone, with jigging or patterns cut onto the surface that might resemble those found on Stag antler. As time evolved, they came to call this type of handle material genuine jigged bone.

Now, in 2002, there seems to be no better term than BoneStag to describe the newest family of knives. Case Genuine 6.5 BoneStag hadles are jigged and treated under open flame in just the same way they treat Genuine Stag. Take a look at the pattern number for this family, and you will see another connection. Case decided that since this exciting new handle is made of bone, it should naturally have a "6", because of its stricking Stag appearance, and they've added the "5" making the new pattern number "6.5"
