Knife makers have fashioned handles from Stag antler for hundreds of years. Case artisans have crafted the finest pocket knives in the world using Genuine Stag, or more accurately, Genuine India Stag for generations. The naturally shed antlers of the Sambar and Chital deer make the best knife handles - dense horn with a rough bark texture - their beauty is unmatched.
For 2006, Case & Sons proudly announces a new Stag production - fifteen of the most poplar patterns, including the Trapper, Small Texas Toothpick and Cheetah Cub. Each knife is built with the same careful attention to detail as those prized Stag Case knives from generations past. The Stag is meticulously hand-finished and treated by flame while the mirror-polished Tru-Sharp surgical steel blades are honed to a razor edge. The end result is a true work of art that will be treasured for generations to come.
To commemorate the re-introduction of this great material, Case has adorned the first 500 of each pattern of these timeless Genuine India Stag knives with a specially created First Production Run blade embellishment and a first production run engraved bolster. These knives are very limited and will be shipped while available, on a first come - first serve basis.
